The Conducting Masterclass with Tori Longdon offers dedicated choral conductors the opportunity to refine their skills in both theory and practice. During this intensive course, participants will work with a pianist and, at the end of the masterclass, conduct the renowned chamber choir Vocalforum Graz as the studio choir.
Expect an inspiring and educational experience under professional guidance, with a strong focus on practical conducting skills and musical interpretation.

Vocal Music

Simone Kopmajer is an internationally acclaimed jazz singer, vocal coach and pianist. She is a recipient of the Hans Koller Prize, has released 14 solo albums and has performed concerts throughout Europe, Asia and the USA.
In this workshop, you will explore microphone technique, different vocal styles (jazz, gospel and pop), stage composition, and work intensively on two prepared songs.

Ensemblesinging

Dive into the world of professional ensemble singing!
In this three-day masterclass, renowned singer and educator Blake Morgan (VOCES8) will work with vocal ensembles from a variety of musical styles, focusing on the essential elements of creating a compelling and unified ensemble sound.
The masterclass consists of three joint sessions of 1.5 hours each with all participating ensembles. The focus will be on sound, intonation, interpretation, and fresh inspiration for your own musical work.
In addition, each ensemble will receive two intensive 30-minute coaching sessions, providing an opportunity to work individually on sound, interpretation, and stage presence.

The Conducting Masterclass for Amateur Choirs with Helmut Zeilner offers passionate and committed choir conductors the opportunity to further develop and refine their skills in both theory and practice. Following the principle of “learning from one another,” the masterclass will respond individually to the participants’ different levels of experience and abilities.
Participants will have the KlangScala Salzburg available as a studio choir for practical conducting sessions.
